KELEIGH ROBINSON
CO-EDITOR AND DIRECTOR
Keleigh was admitted to practice in 2006 after completing a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at Deakin University.
After completing her articles and working in a suburban Melbourne firm from 2006 to 2008 she joined the boutique Melbourne family law firm Carew Counsel in 2008.
Practising exclusively in family law, Keleigh gained experience in a wide variety of family law cases.
As well as her many appearances as instructing solicitor to counsel and senior counsel, Keleigh has appeared as solicitor in the Family Court of Australia, Federal Circuit Court of Australia and the Magistrates Court of Victoria and represented clients at dispute resolution, mediations and negotiations.
As a member of Law Australasia Keleigh assisted in the redevelopment of family law precedents used by the group’s member firms.
With a view to developing her skills Keleigh completed her Masters of Applied Law (Family Law) at the College of Law in 2009 and in 2011 became accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) as a family law specialist.
Since her admission Keleigh has been a member and chairman of the Junior Family Lawyers Committee, a member of LIV’s Maintenance and Property Committee and a member of the LIV Family Law Executive.
She has volunteered for nearly 10 years at Women’s Legal Service Victoria, at Inner Melbourne Community Legal Centre and at Eastern Community Legal Centre.
Keleigh takes a thorough, client focused approach to family law and has been giving subscribers to The Family Law Book the benefit of her experience since 2016 when she joined its legal help line panel. In 2021 (when Craig Nicol became editor) Keleigh was appointed as co-editor and joined our board of directors.
